Unlike neighboring Spring River, South Fork Spring River is much more remote and therefore much less populated. You'll find peace and quiet instead of crowds and noise. You'll find a “getaway” at South Fork much more enjoyable if a “getaway” is your goal.

Hardy's remote location provides an opportunity for some of the most spectacular stargazing, and Cedar Ridge is on the outskirts of tiny Hardy and Cherokee Village meaning even better star gazing. We are over a mile from the nearest gravel road and when the sun sets, our campground comes alive with a dazzling display of stars. Bring your telescope, or simply lay back and enjoy the natural light show.
AROUND THE CAMPFIRE
What is it about staring at a campfire? All your friends and family gather around for some genuine conversation and laughs. Roast marshmallows, experience unplugged and true togetherness, share stories, and create cherished moments under the starry Arkansas skies. Firepits are available at each campsite for your convenience and common area firepits and seating are available to get a larger group together. Firewood is readily available.

Known for excellent trout and walleye fishing year round, you can try your luck on Spring River in Hardy. If you are looking for more of a rush and intense float trip with more rapids, there are several outfitters located in Hardy as well.
